Return & Refund

Return Procedure

To initiate a return, you must first obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA). Returns submitted without an RMA number will not be accepted. A copy of the original receipt must be included with all returns.

Customers are responsible for all return shipping costs, and all items must be shipped with prepaid postage. COD or freight collect returns will not be accepted. Products must be securely packaged; Smithinnovation is not liable for damage caused by inadequate packaging during return transit.

Original shipping fees are non-refundable. A 20% restocking fee will be applied to all approved returns.

Return Policy

Smithinnovation accepts returns within 30 days from the original order date. Returns requested after this period will not be approved. Orders fulfilled through third-party suppliers may be subject to their respective return policies.

All returned items must be unused and in their original condition. Smithinnovation is not responsible for damages resulting from incorrect installation, misuse, or neglect. Items that show signs of installation, damage, or misuse are not eligible for return.

The responsibility lies with the installer to verify part compatibility before installation. Smithinnovation does not cover any labor, towing, rental, or related expenses associated with incorrect or defective parts.

Shipping costs are non-refundable, and all eligible returns are subject to a 20% restocking fee.

Defective or Warranty Returns

Products with defects in workmanship provided by Smithinnovation may qualify for repair, replacement, or store credit. All such evaluations and repairs will be handled exclusively by Smithinnovation. Unauthorized repairs or modifications will void any eligibility for return, replacement, or warranty coverage.

Most items are covered by a manufacturer’s warranty, typically lasting 90 days unless stated otherwise. Products used for racing or high-performance purposes are only covered for manufacturer defects and not for wear or breakage.

Smithinnovation reserves the right to deny returns or apply restocking fees for items showing improper use, installation, handling, or packaging.

Non-Returnable Items

  • The following items are not eligible for return or credit:
  • Special-order items
  • Custom-made products
  • Painted parts
  • Installed items
  • Electrical components that have been opened or connected

These items may only qualify for warranty exchange in the case of verified manufacturer defects.

Damaged or Missing Items

Any damaged or missing items must be reported within 7 days of delivery. Claims must include the invoice number and item details.

All claims will be processed through the shipping carrier. Refunds or replacements will be issued after the claim is approved by the carrier. This process may take approximately 2–3 weeks.

Refund Policy

Once a return is received and approved, refunds are typically processed within 10 business days. The amount will be credited back to the original payment method used at the time of purchase.

If the original payment method is unavailable, the refund may be issued via an alternative method at Smithinnovation’s discretion. Please allow additional time for your bank or card provider to reflect the transaction, usually 4–7 business days.

If the refund is not visible after 17 days from the approval date, customers may follow up for assistance.

Shipping fees are non-refundable, and all approved returns remain subject to a 20% restocking fee.
